A§H Clan History

The A§H Clan, formally the Armored Saints of Halo, was founded on August 7, 2012. Its roots go back several years earlier to the PÕQ Clan, where a number of A§H’s original members first met while playing Halo PC and Halo Custom Edition.

By the summer of 2012, several friends from PÕQ began talking about starting a clan of their own. Those conversations eventually led to the creation of A§H, with the goal of building a Halo community shaped by its own identity, leadership, servers, and way of doing things. Much of the experience needed to get the new clan running came from years spent learning how to operate Halo servers, manage a community, recruit members, and build websites and forums.

A§H quickly established its own presence in Halo PC and Custom Edition. The clan operated dedicated servers, including modified versions of popular maps such as Blood Gulch, Death Island, and Gephyrophobia. As the servers attracted regular players, the community grew with them, and A§H developed its own ranks, administrators, traditions, and membership.

The website and forums became another major part of the clan. They provided a place for applications, announcements, server discussions, clan events, and thousands of ordinary conversations between members. Over time, those records became a history of the community itself and of the people who have passed through it.

A§H has gone through many different periods since 2012. Activity has risen and fallen, leadership has changed, and Halo itself is a very different game and community than it was when the clan began. Through all of those changes, A§H has remained active and many friendships formed through the clan have lasted for years.

Today, more than a decade after its founding, A§H is still here. We continue to run Halo PC and Custom Edition servers, organize game nights, maintain our community, and welcome new players. What started with a group of friends in 2012 has become one of those increasingly rare pieces of the old Halo PC community that is still going.
